Spine Brain:  This piece deals with electricity in the brain and neurotransmitters depicted through the use of line. These pieces are created from a per-formative state. The brain is held together through electrical impulses attached to the nerves in the spine. This is the connection between the brain and the body. “Schizophrenic Brain Trust” is an exhibit involving a big giant 10’ x 6’ brain, vintage wallpaper drawings of the brain that are shaped into an animated character, and small drawings done with a rapidograph which represent hallucinations that are similar to the ones on the large brain. This piece investigates schizophrenic thought processes which lead to fragmentation, interrupters, and dismembered perception. It is in these secrets that we truly come to understand the psychotic state.
